The Adam Smith Academy is dedicated to producing original audio-VISUAL educational content, and distributing it through the latest technology, such as, iPods, iPhones, DVDs and online streaming videos. By creating short, narrated and illustrated “movies” of classic literature, history, economics and philosophy, parents and teachers can increase interest, comprehension and retention of difficult subject matter by delivering it to students in their favored formats.
In order to acheive this mission the company has attracted a number of entertainment executives, voiceover artists, illustrators, and editors to produce entertaining educational content. But, we need more help!
Freelance Grant Writer
Independently contracted, freelance grant writer needed. Individual should have two years grant writing experience and be able to exhibit success in new grant awards acquisition. The successful candidate will work with us in researching, cultivating, writing, submitting proposals, monitoring grant maker requests and following up on report requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer proficiency, and electronic grant filing experience are essential. Please note: Grant writer will remain freelance and independently contracted. This is not a full-time employment opportunity.
Toon Boom Animator
Independently contracted, freelance animator needed. We have recently purchased Toon Boom Studio 4, and would like to take our audio-VISUAL movies of classic literature to the next level. This opportuntiy is independently contracted on a title-by-title basis, and is not a call for full-time employment. Animator can work out of our offices or their home.
